The annual “Day of Magic” will be held on Saturday, April 25th at Blue Springs Christian Church, Blue Springs, MO 64014.

This year, we’re offering a great schedule of events and some special features.

Doors open at 11:00 am. Admission is complimentary for Ring 129 and S.A.M. 38 members.

Non-members may attend for a fee of $20.00, which covers admission for the full day and includes one swap table.

Instead of the traditional Ring Auction, a Magic Flea Market will be conducted until 2:00 pm. Members are welcome to bring items to sell, set their own prices, engage in trades and bartering, and collect payments directly.

Please note that the Ring will not facilitate transactions; all sellers are responsible for handling their own sales and collections. It is strongly recommended to bring cash for convenience.

After the Flea Market, we will host a distinguished Magic Book Lecture Event.

Our IBM Ring’s esteemed magic book collector and seller, Dan Bradbury, will deliver an engaging lecture about the intricacies of collecting magic books and ephemera. Topics covered will include collectability, valuation, and best practices for managing collections.

The event blends elements of Antiques Roadshow and The Price Is Right.

Attendees will observe demonstrations, discover the potential value of their books, and acquire knowledge presented in an informative manner.

Members are encouraged to review their collections and bring one or two items to the “Book Show.”

Following Dan’s presentation and Q&A session, participants are invited to remain for a special viewing that promises to be noteworthy.

The event is scheduled to conclude around 5:30 p.m. No food or drinks will be provided; however, members may arrange to dine together at a local restaurant afterwards.
