At the tender age of 5 Thom’s parents surprised him with a trick deck of cards for Christmas. He then quickly began driving his entire family stark-raving-mad as he continually pestered them with his “performances.”
Being lucky enough to have two loving and devoted parents with tastes for the finer things, he was brought up on a steady diet of the Marx Brothers, Carol Burnett, Dick Van Dyke and loads of old time radio programs. On his own, Thom quickly developed a taste for the Addams Family, The Munsters, Universal and Hammer Horror, and all things creepy and spooky. Through that, he gained an insight into, and appreciation of special effects and horror make-up. Make-up luminaries like Dick Smith, Rick Baker and Lon Chaney taught Thom that there was more than one way to fool an audience.
Graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Organizational Communications, with an emphasis in Corporate Training and Development, Thom has gone on to become one of the most in-demand entertainers, for some of the nation’s largest corporations.
Companies like Boeing, Xerox, Bank One, 3M and Lockheed Martin regularly call on Thom to help make their next event a smash.
Thom is a member of London’s Magic Circle (A.I.M.C.), and a member of the British Magical Society. He is a regular performer at the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. In fact, he’s one of the few performers to be authorized to perform in every showroom there.
When not performing, Thom is an avid lover of Japanese martial arts, the outdoors, art, good wine and spending time with his friends and family.
…Hip, laid-back and refreshing…” (Los Angeles Times) Scott’s magic reached millions on NBC’s season six of America’s Got Talent where he advanced all the way with his large stage illusions. With articles in People Magazine and Nations Business, the Oprah Show took notice and Scott was invited by Oprah Winfrey to make a guest appearance on her show. Scott had the honor of headlining on the Las Vegas Strip at Caesars Palace for over seven years and four thousand performances of large grand illusions fused with stand-up comedy magic. Scott’s magic has been featured on Penn and Teller’s “Fool Us” on the CW, The Sify Channel, Discovery Channel and NBC. Scott has appeared in Paris on the world class and prestigious Le Grand Plus Cabaret Du Monde. Whether it be the intimacy of a close-up sleight of hand performance, stand up comedy magic, or the all out spectacle of a large stage show, Scott Alexander’s delivery is always lighthearted, somewhat irreverent, amazing, quick-witted and sure to leave you filled with wonder and laughter.

Over the course of a career that has included television, corporate events, cruise ships, casinos, trade shows, and comedy clubs, Nathan Coe Marsh has wowed audiences in 13 different countries with incredible original magic. And now, for the first time, he’s going to share that magic with you.
Every item in Nathan’s lecture has been featured by him in real world, professional performance – and he’ll teach you everything you need to know so you can perform them too. The first half focuses on stand-up magic (with an emphasis on strong stand-up magic that 1. does not require on-stage assistants and 2. packs small and plays big). The second half focuses on close-up magic.
Part I: Stand-Up Magic
• A Spirited Opener
The startling visible vanish of a silk followed immediately by the production of a full shotglass. This is a 1-2 punch that, in under 90 seconds, grabs the complete focus of an audience while also setting the atmosphere of fun for everything that follows.
• Nathan’s Chop Cup
Nathan’s stand-up chop cup routine that incorporates a Michael Kaminskas touch (with permission) in a new way to dramatically increase the impact of the final loads.
Any card called for is caught out of mid-air. The spectacle of a card sword without the cost, and Nathan’s new technique for controlling a named card from a memorized deck has many applications for both close-up and stand up (for non-memdeck users, this revelation is also powerful with a chosen card).
Stage-filling, astonishing, comedy mentalism that packs small and involves no on-stage volunteers.
Part II: Close-Up Magic
• Smart Coins
Featuring a charming, motivated, topical, and original presentation that steers clear of what Eugene Burger termed “the adventures of the props in the magician’s hands” script that is typical of coins across, Nathan’s version blends brilliant work from Roger Klause, Larry Jennings, and Mike Pisciotta to create a strong routine that gets gasps.
• Card Divination
Inspired by a single sentence in Juan Tamariz’ Mnemonica, this is the card routine Nathan has performed every single time he has done close-up magic professionally since 2004.
